Dear Loretta Lynn & Jack White,
Thank you for making such an incredible album.
xo.

A little while ago Elsie posted this on her blog… Thought I would join in!

7 very random facts about myself:
1. Hate mustard & mayo.
2. Coldplay & The Cardigans have been on repeat as of late.
3. I have walked across Abbey Road (barefoot).
4. Saw a dead sea lion on the beach tonight. Sad.
5. Tell extremely corny (read: bad) jokes.
6. Have seen Sir Paul McCartney in concert.
7. Love anything Cranberry-Orange. mmmm.

Ok.

TAG!
You’re it!

1. I want to hang this on my wall.

2. I am in love with these dresses.

(I forgot where I found the photo of that second dress. I would love to try & make it.)

3. This is a great link.

4. Today.I.can’t.stop.listening.to.Coldplay.they.are.on.repeat. And tomorrow.might.be.much.of.the.same.

Well summer has since come and gone. It’s probably about time I got to blogging about it right? So here goes. Summer installment/recap #1.

My lovely friend, Julie Belle, played her first California show at the Cat Club Hollywood in August. She killed it. This lady captivates a room when she is on stage. Go listen to her music here.

We enjoyed Silverlake Coffee multiple times. This is Julie playing real estate agent for Ms. Kendradee.

Julie came up with the idea to head out to Santa Monica to watch the sunset. Amazing. I am thoroughly convinced that no matter how great our technology may be, we can never fully capture, say a sunset, and how it has been created/painted. You just have to experience it. I believe that the eyes are the greatest lenses that we have been given. The sky and the ocean are so big & uncapturable by us mere humans… and I love that. When you are forced to put down your camera and experience just how small you feel in the universe.

After several unsuccessful tries of getting a good photo of us, we finally got this one! Although the wind got the best of our hair & the flash got the best of our eyes! haha

Oh, then I rode the metrolink train home the next morning. Both Julie & I now know how to correctly read the train schedules…. if anyone needs help with that.

The end.

Happy Autumnal Equinox!

Today I will celebrate by wearing one of my grandma’s silk scarfs/scarves which is definitely a favorite of mine for the fall season.

Being as crafty as possible (in the arts & crafts sense of course haha). Beautiful fabric on the right courtesy of the wonderful Ms. Brittany Yates.

Lighting my pumpkin spice candle.

And possibly starting this book…

I have already gotten a head start on the pumpkin spice lattes :D

What about you?

Ummm. So I am extremely excited about the new Baz Luhrmann movie Australia. Maybe I’m a bit behind in all this. But check out their amazing “Set to Screen” podcasts that were released every 3 weeks during the 6 month filming of this movie. Oh how I would have loved to have had James Fisher’s job as on set still photographer. Who wants to see it with me?
Goodnight & Love.

I have seen this interesting & informative little video posted on several blogs before. I thought I would post it for those of you who haven’t seen it yet. I highly recommend taking 20 minutes out of your day to watch!
